I am Whitney Ray, founder of CAD Pros.com. I originally started this venture as a way to learn a little extra income. Isn't that why we all have jobs?
Since conceiving this idea, I quickly realized there are a lot of people that know AutoCAD and that it tends to be like a sort of cult. Either you like it or you don't. All of the drafters at CAD Pros like working with AutoCAD. This "cult" also tends to be are very helpful bunch. If you need someone to fix your lawnmower or help you build a fence, for some reason, this group tends to be quick to offer a helping hand.
With this in mind, my view of the direction of this site changed. It went from a business idea to an idea of how to help others like me make a little extra income doing something they like to do. The lawnmower that got fixed was mine. So, instead of following a typical business model, I instead created a "gateway" in the sense that if I can help someone else then the only thing I am out, is the time it took to create this website and facilitate the transaction. Call it Karma I guess.
Don't get me wrong. This will be approached as a "business". We will have deadlines. We will send out invoices. We will do whatever it takes to get the job done. The only difference is that for our drafters, this is side work. We all have full time jobs. We do this on the side. If that ever changes, we will let you know. Most of our drafters will be working from home, at night or on their lunch break and on weekends. If you need a job done within 24 hours then we may not be for you. But, remember, we will get it done and we will get it done right. I have a Marketing degree from a 4 year University and a background in retail so I know what it takes to get the job done. I will be your point of contact.
I would like to personally thank you for considering using CAD Pros. I want you to know that we take our work seriously and will do everything we can to get your job done and get it done right at a reasonable cost. Hopefully we can create a long term business relationship with you and your company.
